Conveyancing is the legal process of transferring the ownership of a property from one party to another, typically from a seller to a buyer. It involves preparing, verifying, and lodging legal documents such as sales contracts and titles, conducting property searches, managing finances, and ensuring the transfer of ownership is compliant with relevant property laws. Most people hire a licensed conveyancer or solicitor to handle these complex legal tasks on their behalf, ensuring the process is smooth and their rights are protected.

Key Steps in Conveyancing…

The conveyancing process generally follows these stages:

Pre-contract: A conveyancer prepares and reviews the contract of sale, arranges inspections (like building and pest reports), and helps secure the necessary finance.

Pre-completion: The conveyancer conducts property searches to check for any legal issues or third-party rights, and they will often hold funds in trust for the transaction.

Exchange of Contracts: The buyer and seller formally exchange the contract of sale, with a deposit usually paid at this stage.

Settlement: This is the final stage where the remaining balance of the purchase price is paid, legal documents are lodged to transfer the title, and the property officially changes hands.

What a Conveyancer Does…

A licensed conveyancer or solicitor performs crucial tasks to ensure the property transfer is legally sound and efficient:

Manages legal documents: They prepare, verify, and lodge all necessary legal documents for the transfer.

Conducts property searches: They research the property’s title and search for any potential legal issues or restrictions.

Handles financial adjustments: They manage the financial aspects of the settlement, such as adjusting rates and paying the purchase price.

Ensures legal compliance: They ensure the entire transaction adheres to all relevant property laws and regulations.

Liaises with parties: They communicate with other parties, such as lenders, the other party’s conveyancer, and government bodies.

Why You Need a Conveyancer…

While you can do your own conveyancing, hiring a professional offers several benefits:

Peace of mind: They handle the complex legal details so you don’t have to.

Protection of rights: They protect your legal rights and obligations throughout the transaction.

Smooth transactions: Their expertise ensures the process runs smoothly and meets deadlines.

Early issue identification: They can identify potential problems with the property early on.

Fixing Shingles

1. Check for damage in the roofing material directly above where the leak is coming in. This will likely be easier to find on a flat roof, but leaks can also come into the house a good distance from where the actual roof damage is located.

• If your roof is slanted, inspect areas on the roof that are higher than where the leak enters the home.

• If you have an attic, inspect it with a flashlight for water stains, black marks or mould.

• Run a hose along different sections of the roof and have a person inside alert you when leaking occurs.

2. Look for damaged, curled or missing shingles near where the leak is coming in. Look closely for exposed roofing tacks, too.

3. Straighten out shingles that are curled back. In colder weather, this might require that you soften the shingle edge with heat, such as an electric hair dryer. Using a torch or other open flame heat source isn’t recommended since asphalt shingles may be flammable, and regardless of whether they are flame retardant or not, excess heat will ruin the shingle.

4. Reattach curled-back shingles after straightening with a generous amount of asphalt roof cement or compound around the exposed edges.

5. Replace damaged shingles. If the shingle lifts off the roof with little effort, breaks, or simply crumbles, it needs to be replaced.

• Remove the old shingle by lifting its edges and prying out the nail.

• Scrape the area underneath it to remove any leftover roofing cement.

• Use a sharp utility knife to round the back corners of the new shingle slightly.

• Slide the new shingle into place and drive 1 1⁄4 inch (3.2 cm) galvanized roofing nails into each upper corner, then cover the nail heads with roof cement.

Rolled Roofing

1. Inspect for cracks or blisters in the roofing material.

2. Mend the blisters. Cut a line through the middle of the blister with a utility knife, but do not cut the sound roofing felt {substrate) underneath.

• Squeeze out or soak up any water inside the blister. The area needs to be completely dry.

3. Spread a generous amount of roofing cement under the loose roofing material and press down.

4. Drive galvanized roofing nails along each side of the repaired blister.

5. Cover the entire top with roofing cement, including the nail heads.

Damaged Shakes

1. Split damaged shakes with a hammer and chisel.

2. Slide the chisel under the damaged shake and remove the pieces.

3. Use a hacksaw to cut off the ends of any nails that can’t be pried out. Work around the nails if you can’t saw without damaging the good shakes.

4. Cut a new shake about 3/8 inches (9.5 mm) smaller than the old one using a fine-toothed saw.

5. Slide the new shake into place and hammer it in with 2 galvanized roofing nails.

• If old nails that you could not saw off are in the way, use a coping saw to cut notches into the shake so it can fit around the nails.

6. Set the heads with a nail set, then seal them with caulking compound.

Connections

1. Inspect areas where surfaces connect, such as a chimney or vent pipe.

• Look for damage to the caulking, and reapply caulk where necessary.

• Remove damaged or deteriorated caulking so the new application can bond to the roof or flashing surface.

• Use a putty knife to remove the loosened old caulk.

• Clean and dry the area.

• Cut the tip off the caulk tube and spread a bead along the same line, working it into the crack with an applicator. Let it dry.

2. Larger-scale repairs will be necessary if there is damage to the flashing around the chimney or the boots around vents, as these features may need to be replaced.

Tile Roof Restoration:

1. Removal of your Old Roof – tile roof replacement specialists will strip the existing roofing materials in preparation for the new tiles. At this point, any underlying water damage or corrosion can also be assessed.

2. Sarking Fitted onto the Frame (if required) – As a protective skin under your roof, roof sarking acts as an additional layer of protection and insultation for your home.

3. Installation of battens – fix the roof battens in preparation for the new tiles.

4. New tiles are laid – Brand new terracotta or cement roof tiles are laid down and secured to protect against water and debris.

5. Ridge capping re-bedded and re-pointed – re-bed and point the ridges of your roof, sealing the edges with flexible pointing compounds.

Metal Roof Replacement:

1. Removal of your Old Roof – Out with the corroded iron or tired tin – metal roof replacement specialists will strip the existing roofing materials in preparation for the new sheets.

2. Installation of battens – The battens act as fixing points. Secure the metal sheets and cover with a batten roll joint.

Roof Replacement:

So when do you stop patching and start planning to replace the roof? Obviously one good hint is when, no matter how many times you call the roofer out, the roof still leaks. An aging roof can only be repaired for so long before it has to be replaced. Once the roof becomes brittle and starts to split, there is no patch that will permanently cure it. In that case, a better strategy is to perform emergency repairs as they are needed instead of wasting whatever roofing money is available trying to save a failed roof.

Waiting too long can result in an unsafe condition in the building and an extremely high cost to fix the roof. One warehouse had repairs done to the roof for about five years because the building was unoccupied and the owner did not want to spend the money to replace the roof. Unfortunately, the leaks were so pervasive that the steel deck rusted through underneath the roof. So, while at one time a relatively inexpensive re-cover would have been an option, now the owner needed a complete tear off and, worse, a total replacement of the steel deck to make the building safe again. Correcting this mistake will cost about four times what the re-cover would have been five years ago. To make matters worse, the building is now occupied and replacing the deck may lead to terrible complications with the tenant.

Long-term repairs can stretch the life of the roof if they are done promptly and according to good roofing practice. Ignoring the roof will not make your problems go away — they will just get bigger and more expensive to fix. Repairs should be done in conjunction with a well-managed plan for roof inspection and maintenance to be sure the repairs catch little problems that if left alone will cause the roof to fail sooner. Remember, all roofs will need replacement eventually. Knowing when that will be is the last step in the repair sequence. If you do not feel comfortable predicting the demise yourself, a qualified consulting architect or engineer can help steer you in the proper direction by providing regular inspections, moisture surveys, and plans and specifications for repairs, re-covers, maintenance coatings and replacements.

Is your shower leaking and you’re not sure why? A leaking shower can be frustrating and costly if not addressed quickly. While it might seem like a minor issue, a persistent leak can lead to bigger problems such as water damage, mold growth, or high water bills.

So let’s look into the causes, fixes, and preventive measures for shower leaks and how you can tackle this common household issue before it becomes a major headache for you and the resident below you if you live in a multi story complex.

So Why Is My Shower Leaking from the Bottom?

When you notice water ponding at the base of your shower and not running away, it’s a big red flag that something’s not right. The answer isn’t always straightforward—there can be several reasons causing this.

One common cause is cracks in the shower pan. Over time, the shower pan, which is supposed to catch and direct water down the drain, can become cracked or damaged. If the pan is compromised, water may seep through, causing leaks at the base. Loose or missing grout is also a common issue. When grout between the tiles starts to erode, water can penetrate underneath, leaking through to the base of your shower. Finally, faulty seals around the drain can also lead to water leaking out. If the seal around the shower drain isn’t properly installed or has worn, water can escape and cause serious damage.

Common Causes of Shower Leaks from the Bottom

Cracked or damaged shower pan

Loose, damaged, or missing grout

Faulty drain seals

Leaks from plumbing connections behind the walls

How to Identify a Shower Leak from the Bottom

Before you rush into doing any repairs, it’s crucial to confirm the source of the leak. Here’s how you can identify if your shower is leaking from the bottom.

First, check for visible signs of water pooling. This is usually an obvious indicator, but the leak might also manifest through discoloration or damp spots on the floor or surrounding walls. Next, inspect the shower pan and tiles for cracks or missing grout. Run your hand along the edges of the shower and check for moisture or softness—these are signs that water is escaping through compromised areas. Finally, test the shower drain. Run water in the shower, but avoid using it for other plumbing functions in the house to isolate the potential source of the leak

Steps to Inspect for Leaks

Look for water pooling on the floor

Inspect the tiles and grout for damage

Check the shower pan for cracks

Test the drain seal by running water directly into it

Fixing a Leaking Shower from the Bottom

So, what do you do when you’ve identified the source of the leak? Fixing a leaking shower depends on the cause of the issue. If you’re dealing with cracked grout, you’ll need to re-grout the shower area. This involves removing the old grout, cleaning the tiles thoroughly, and applying new grout. For a cracked shower pan, the repair process can be more complex and may require a shower pan replacement, which involves removing the base and installing a new one.

If the problem lies in the drain seal, you may be able to replace it yourself. Start by removing the drain cover and checking the seal. If it’s worn out, replace it with a new one from your local hardware store. It’s essential to use waterproof sealant to ensure a proper, tight fit.

Quick Fixes for Shower Leaks

Re-grout the tiles if the grout is loose or damaged

Replace the shower pan if it’s cracked or severely damaged

Check and replace the drain seal if water is leaking around the drain

Preventing Future Shower Leaks

Once you’ve tackled the leak, you’ll want to prevent it from happening again. Regular maintenance is important to keeping your shower in good condition. Make a habit of checking the grout lines and shower pan for wear and tear, especially after a few years of usage. If you see any cracks or loose grout, repair them promptly to prevent water from seeping underneath.

Installing a shower liner is another way to add an extra layer of protection. This waterproof barrier sits between the shower pan and the tiles, helping prevent leaks caused by cracked grout or pan issues.

Prevention Tips for Avoiding Shower Leaks

Regularly check for grout and tile damage

Address small cracks or gaps immediately

Install a shower liner for added protection

Ensure proper sealing of all joints and edges

While some shower leaks can be fixed with a bit of DIY effort, others might require the expertise of a professional plumber or tiler. If your shower pan is severely damaged, or if the leak persists after repairs, it’s time to call in the pros. They’ll be able to assess the problem more thoroughly and may even uncover hidden issues that aren’t immediately visible, such as plumbing leaks behind the walls.

Don’t wait too long to address a persistent leak. The longer you let it go, the more likely it is to cause significant water damage that could require even more extensive repairs.

Conclusion

A leaking shower is more than just an inconvenience—it can lead to significant costly damage if left untreated. By understanding the possible causes, knowing how to inspect for leaks, and taking preventive measures, you can keep your shower in great shape and avoid leak issues. Whether it’s re-grouting, replacing the shower pan, or simply keeping up with routine maintenance, tackling the issue head-on early will save you time, money, and stress in the long run. If you’re ever unsure, don’t hesitate to reach out to a professional plumber or tiler to ensure the issue gets fixed fast.

We all know that healthy trees are an important part of our landscape and particularly good at beautifying any home. The blogging team gets asked often to do articles on tree and shrub care and maintenance to keep them healthy?

Here are some helpful tips on how to look after and keep your trees healthy for generations to come.

Inspect your trees regularly for any early signs of disease & damage

Regular tree inspections is the most important thing to ensure long term tree health. Look for any physical symptoms like tree rot due to pest infestations or impact damage. Finding tree rot early can help prevent its spread and extend the life of the tree and your enjoyment of it. Visible signs of fungus and discolouration around the tree’s base can be an indication of root rot. Any indication of this needs to be attended to with urgency.

Water your trees deeply and evenly, especially during dry periods

Tree care means more than just hosing the tree in particularly dry and hot periods. They relish deep watering year round and particularly in times of drought. Doing this will make a big difference in the health and resilience of your tree to ward off disease. It cannot be emphasised enough to take the time to give your tree the care & attention it deserves.

Remove dead branches to encourage new growth

The pruning of dead branches cannot be emphasised enough. Removing these promote a healthier tree and new growth. Regular pruning of your tree also helps to improve air circulation through the tree and helps keep disease away. Pruning also helps with the visual appeal to the tree.

Protect the tree’s roots

The importance of taking care of the a trees roots cannot be over emphasised. One of the best ways to protect a tree’s roots is by placing mulch around the base of the tree and over any exposed roots. The mulch provides a natural form of insulation for extreme weather conditions. It also helps retain moisture at the root zone of the tree. Aesthetically, it is also a great way of adding texture and colour to the landscape.

Feed your trees

Regularly spreading fertilizers to your trees can be really beneficial in helping them to acquire the nutrients and minerals they need to achieve maximum health. Manure and organic compost provides a way more natural boost than synthetically created fertilizers. Organic fertilizers also have the added benefit of increasing the water-retention capacity of soils beneath it. This leads to the need for less watering required.

Regularly inspect your tree for bugs and pests

It also goes without saying that home owners need to inspect their trees regularly for bugs and pests that may cause damage to it. Certain beetles and wood moths like to feed on dry rotting wood. Leaf beetles can be present eating away at the leaves. Termites too can bore fast through a tree trunk and branches and cause significant damage if not detected early. Regular checks of your trees are essential if you want to ensure the beauty of the trees on your property are preserved all year round and for decades to come.

Need help to remove a tree?

If a tree has died & you’re looking for a Sydney tree removal specialist, members of the blogging team have had great experiences with MTS Tress Services and recommend you check out their range of tree care and removal services detailed on their website here: https://www.mtstreeservice.com.au/

Smile concepts, with over 40 years combined experience, and considered one of the best dentists in Sydney has built a strong reputation in providing a full range of dental services from a highly qualified and dedicated team. Their mission statement is to build authentic and trusting relationships with clients, at the same time educate them of the wide range of choices available. Porcelain veneer services are one of their services that is growing in demand.

Health and beauty influencers on social media are growing in their endorsement of dental veneers to create beautiful teeth in 2025. Veneers are thin, yet strong tooth-coloured porcelain shells that are bonded on to the front of teeth. They have a “life like” appearance with the strength, beauty, and durability that only a porcelain veneer procedure can create.

Dr Manish Shah, Principal Dentist with Smile Concepts said, “Porcelain veneers can dramatically improve crooked, crowded, chipped and gappy smiles. The veneers that we use in this procedure are of the highest quality and specially designed for the work we do. A big benefit of them, unlike crowns, is that they typically do not require significant erosion of the existing tooth they are being applied to.”

Metro Cities Media’s investigation found that due to the advanced skills and technology at Smile Concepts, mild preparation is only required and they don’t have to cut away a lot of your teeth to place the porcelain veneer on to the tooth.

“Due to the fast and dramtic results that porcelain veneers can produce, combined with the minimal impact on the patient’s teeth, we are seeing continuing strong demand for our sought-after porcelain veneer procedures” said Dr Manish Shah

According to experts, very few people brush their teeth as well as they should. All dentists agree, cleaning will remove the bacteria and most plaque from your teeth and gums that can cause gum disease and tooth decay.

Here are some tips that the team have put together for our readers to ponder:

1. Pick the right brush.

From the array of tooth brushes to choose from make sure your brush can cover the places that need cleaning. That’s everywhere you should be able to reach with a toothbrush. It can be a power toothbrush or a manual one, but it must have soft bristles. Hard bristles and vigorous cleaning can permanently damage gums and actually wear down your tooth structure.

The size of the tooth brush’s head is an important consideration too, especially if you have a smaller mouth. Brushes come in all shapes and sizes, with handles of different length and different angles. Some are more flexible while others are ridged.

If your budget allows, there are very good electric brushes, even Hydrosinic ones that is gentle on the teeth and gums.

2. Don’t go to town on your teeth.

When it comes to brushing, just as harder bristles is not better, harder brushing isn’t better either.

Dentists say that the biggest issues that people have is that they try to brush their teeth too hard. They feel that there needs to be a vigorous effort but plaque is soft and loose, so you don’t have to scrub like you are removing barnacles. Dentists recommend the thought of massaging your teeth as the right approach.

3. Dont rush.

You should brush at least twice a day for at least 2 minutes each time.

This is where the modern electric tooth brush is great as it has riming pulses built in for telling you when to move on to each new section of teeth. It creates a good habit of not rushing.

4. Replace your tooth brush regularly.

When you find a good toothbrush, it’s sometimes hard to give it up. But when you see the bristles starting to look discolored, bent, or dirty looking then it’s time to chuck the brush. The timing of this varies from person to person.

It is also smart not to share your brush with anyone else. And keep it in the open air, dry and clean to keep mold or bacteria from growing on it when it’s wet.

5. Cleaning strokes.

Think massage, not scrubbing your teeth.

Start from the gum, and go up and down, in little circular, up-and-down motions.

Aggressive backwards and forwards scrubbing will cause damage. Be careful of your teeth and gums to ensure they last and are not simply rubbed away.

Don’t forget to brush your tongue also, too. That’ll get rid of bacteria.

6. Don’t forget the gums.

Bacteria often settle in where your tooth meets your gum. People miss that area a lot. The gentle up and down tooth brush motions, in little circular, up-and-down massaging strokes will be enough to clean this bacteria away.

7. What angle should the brush be?

It is recommended that the angle of the brush be at a 45-degrees against the gum line. This is particularly important to get the gum line.

You will need to tilt the brush up and down to get the inside of your top and bottom front teeth.

8. Mouth acid after eating.

It’s recommended to rinse out your mouth with some water, to get rid of some of the acid that is created at the time of eating something.

You can wait 15 to 20 minutes and the body naturally neutralises this this acid.

9. Flossing.

Just as brushing your teeth at least twice a day, for least 2 minutes each time is important, so is flossing your teeth at least once a day.

10. Mouth wash.

Just as brushing and flossing your teeth is important, so is rinsing your teeth at least once a day with a high-quality mouth wash. The more we do to remove bacteria the healthier our teeth and gums will be to serve us for years to come.

Need a Sydney dentist?

The media team recommend if you are in Sydney Smile Concepts is a cool dentist to check out.
The content team are very aware that cybercriminals are at work day and night finding more cunning ways to rob unsuspecting people who dupe them with lies or deceit. Millions of life savings are stolen from hard working Australians who are taken in with what appear legitimate approaches or requests. To help readers avoid cybercrime they have reproduced portions of helpful advice the Australian Signals Directorate publish on their website here: https://www.cyber.gov.au/

We hope this helps our readers stay safe…

Scams are a common way that cybercriminals compromise accounts

Being alert to scam messages is a great way to protect yourself online. These ‘scammers’ may try to compromise your business, workplace or university accounts.

Scammers often use email, text messages, phone calls and social media. Their goal is to scam people into paying money or giving away their personal information. They will often pretend to be a person or organisation you trust.

Don’t fall for scams in two steps

First, check if it is a scam

Know what to look for. View common types of scams such as dating scams, investment scams, phishing emails and text, or invoice fraud.

Go direct to a source you can trust. Visit the official website, log in to your account, or call their phone number. Don’t use the links or contact details in the message or given to you on the phone.

Check what the official source says about what details they might request from you. Often companies or government agencies will say what they will and will not ask you online or over the phone. For example, the bank may tell you that they will never ask for your password. If someone claiming to be from the bank then asks you for your password, you know it is likely a scam.

Then, if you still think it’s a scam

Don’t click on links, open any attachments or reply to requests. Scam messages may try and trick you into giving out your personal information. A scammer might ask for your bank account details, passwords or credit card numbers. They may also ask you to download files, software, or allow remote access to your computer.

Contact your bank. Contact your financial institution if you think your credit cards or bank account may be at risk. They may be able to close your account or stop a transaction.

Report a cybercrime via ReportCyber if you have fallen victim to a scam.

Help keep Australia secure by reporting the scam to the National Anti-Scam Centre – Scamwatch.

Learn from this video the common tricks that scammers use to steal your money or personal details.

If it seems fishy, there’s a good chance it is.

Case study: The importance of recognising common scams

A young couple’s plan to start a family was crushed when they lost their entire life savings to a banking scam.

It all began when James got a text from a ridesharing company asking him to go to a website to update his credit card details. Later, James got a text from his bank saying scammers were trying to take $5500 from his account. The message, which told him to call the bank’s security team, appeared to be from his bank.

But James was unaware that scammers could disguise their number as the number of a real business. He had no reason to think it was a scam since the text was in the same thread as other messages from his bank.

The scammer told him to open a new bank account and move his money there to protect it. James followed the instructions and after three days $90,000 was gone. The couple tried to get their money back, but the bank agreed to pay only $3000 as compensation for the loss.

This case shows why it’s important to be aware of common scams.

To protect your accounts, avoid visiting unusual links. If you’re asked to transfer a lot of money, or if you notice strange activity on your account like a payment you didn’t make, go straight to a trusted source. For example, you can visit your bank in person.

If you have any doubts about a message or call, contact the organisation or login through their official website. Don’t use the links or contact details in the message. Be aware, scammers can disguise their name so they appear to be someone you have saved in your contacts, like “mum” or “dad”.

The Australian Signals Directorate’s Australian Cyber Security Centre (ASD’s ACSC) is here to help all Australians affected by cyber incidents. Call our hotline 24/7 on 1300 CYBER1 (1300 292 371) if you need help or go to ReportCyber.

Common Things Scammers Do To Trick You…

Authority

Is the message claiming to be from someone official?

Like your bank, a government department, a utility company, your doctor or a solicitor. Criminals pretend to be important people or organisations to trick you into doing what they want.

Urgency

Are you told you have a limited time to respond?

For example, ‘within 24 hours’ or ‘immediately’. Criminals often threaten you with fines or other negative consequences.

Emotion

Does the message make you panic, fearful, hopeful or curious?

Scammers use threatening language, make false claims of support, or tease you into wanting to find out more.

Scarcity

Is the message offering something that seems too good to be true?

Like concert tickets, money or a cure for medical conditions? Fear of missing out on a good deal or opportunity can make you respond quickly.

Current Events

Are you expecting to see a message like this?

To make their scam seem more real, criminals can exploit current news stories and events. For example, some scammers pretend to be from the tax office at tax time to make their scam seem more relevant.

Want Information On Email Scams?

Visit this phishing emails page for more information. You can also read our Detecting Socially Engineered Messages publication to learn about other ways cybercriminals may target you.

The blogging team in a recent investigation discovered the wide variety of Pop Up Marquees available to be an extreme range in quality of structures with some being totally inadequate for the purpose they are being used. They came to the conclusion that hiring a marquee from a reputable hire company is the smart way to go to use at your event.

Party Hire Group have a range of marquees for hire in Sydney and Melbourne, including pop-up marquees and framed marquees, built to the custom size you require. They deliver and install to all suburbs, whether your event is at home, a property, a beach, at a park or a public area. They are commonly hire them for use at weddings, birthday parties, corporate events, festivals, trade shows, public gatherings and more.

The pop-up marquee options are also very popular. They offer a quick, easy and cheap way for creating attractive shelter for a small party or stall. They can be set up in a matter of minutes. You can order multiple pop-up marquees to create larger sheltered areas and gutters can be ordered to place in between them for wet weather, and walls are also available for added protection from the elements.

Their structured marquees come in various sizes with widths ranging from 3m to 15m wide, and can be built up to lengths of 100 metres. They are more suited for larger events where you require a more solid structure and extra room to accommodate more guests. They have no internal legs, just legs on the perimeter of the marquee, which makes for a larger uninterrupted internal space.

How to choose the best marquee for your event

A marquee is a great idea if you’re planning a party. It offers shelter from the weather, which can be hard to predict these days with periods of extended rainfall or extreme heat. It will keep water out on rainy days and also offer shade on hot days. They are effective in providing a great function space in an outdoor area. A Party tent can be built in parks, backyards, car parks, office and industrial car parks, private properties and more.

Marquees are commonly used for weddings, corporate events, birthdays, government events, outdoor festivals, brand activations and more. They can be built to custom sizes. The width ranges from 3m up to 15m, and they can be built in 3m- 5m bays. Depending on the size of your event and what you plan to put inside, we can help you decide what size is suitable for you. For example, if you are having a cocktail party where a majority of the guests are standing, or you’re using cocktail furniture, you wouldn’t need as large a marquee compared to a seated dinner where each guest will be seated around a table.

One of the main things to be aware of when hiring a party tent is to see if the space you want to place it is suitable. For example, you need to be aware if there are trees nearby, a low roof, power lines and so on. You also need to ensure the chosen tent size fits in your available space. Our team can come out and do a site check, measure, and advise on what is suitable to hire.

They can placed on concrete, grass or asphalt. The surface needs to be reasonably level. Flooring can be provided at an additional cost. This is ideal if you wont a nice solid surface if you event is on grass. The floor will provide a stable surface for walking or dancing on. Flooring also creates a cleaner finish and look.

Party Hire Group offer marquees in Sydney and can also provide marquees in Melbourne too. Their party tent options are endless and can also be finished with decorations such as silk lining, coloured ambient lighting, chandeliers and more. You can do a full styling, and a range of furniture can be placed into a package with your party tent. Contact them today for more on how they can help you!
